The Government of Maldives and People’s Republic of China Sign MoU to Develop the Maldives Mariculture Sector.

The Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hangdog Fisheries Corporation Ltd, a leading Chinese fishing enterprise, to support the development of the mariculture sector in the Maldives.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlines  the development and advancement of the mariculture sector, with the objective of establishing it as a separate industry.

The MoU was signed by the Minister Ahmed Shiyam, on behalf of the Government of the Maldives.
